Projects - On Going
Project 1: Design, test, and fabricate a motion sensor prototype (Applied optics-based) using a solid and liquid mirror in a Michelson Interferometer that will aid in the nation’s border security.
My Role:
1) To enhance the power and sensitivity of the Michelson Interferometer by creating the febry-parot etalon in one of the arms of the MI setup.
2) To develop a program using python language which analyses the video in real-time and is able to recognize the variation in the intensity of zeroth-order fringes.
Project 2: Prepare a prototype of a magnetic field-induced tunable monochromator using magnetic fluid based on preliminary experimental results and convert it into a magneto-optical device.
My Role:
1) To synthesize a tailor-made magnetic fluid that behaves as a tunable monochromator under the influence of an external magnetic field.
2) To design a magnetic-field induced white light transmission setup to examine the effect of chain formation through CCD camera.
3) The numerical analysis of magnetic fluid using COMSOL or FDTD and optical simulation of fluid-based device using Zemax simulation software.
Project 3: Biocompatible Coating on Wooden Material.
My Role:
1) Image analysis of microscopic images of the various coated wooden surface.
